The 2 day extended workshop is based upon professional approaches
to photography.
Using digital as the
medium to refine specific lighting and camera work this two day course allows delegates
time to develop their ability and work both technically and creatively.
Photography is a broad
and potentially complex subject. Therefore to get the most from the workshops, delegates
should consider specifically what they would prefer to gain from the time available
in addition to the structured session.
The workshop can be pitched at any level, however the tasks and structure are based
around the following:
Personal input:
Developing visual awareness skills, demonstrated through composition, style,
and planning each element of the photography.
Photographic skills: (a combination of camera
and lighting skills) followed by routine IT skills necessary to present finished
work
Subject areas:
People
Still Life
Location
Each of these areas
are covered as demonstrations followed by similar short briefs for delegates to
complete. An emphasis on lighting skills
will be prevalent, as the quality of any end result is not driven by the latest
technology, this simply allows delegates to view and learn more efficiently about
the process.
Staff encourage delegates
to develop and refine their specific interest including technical understanding
of the processes most important to the delegates. These will include:
Camera skills across relevant formats
Using electronic Flash.
Tungsten lighting
Mixed lighting
Available and mixed flash lighting.
Post production of images where appropriate.
These workshops will
benefit most those who have some previous experience or have attended our introductory
course. Delegates are asked to consider an overall direction that they can apply.
